About this application
Odoo Email Server is an internal application built and operated by Programmers Force. It connects our Odoo ERP system to Google's Gmail API using Google OAuth, so that the ERP can send and receive business emails — such as system-generated notifications, client invoices, support ticket updates, and internal approvals — directly through our company's Gmail accounts.
What it does: When a company user authorizes Gmail access, Odoo Email Server uses the Gmail API to send outgoing emails from that user's mailbox on the Odoo ERP's behalf, and to read replies where needed for support and ticketing workflows.
Why it needs Google account access: Google's OAuth tokens are the mechanism that lets our Odoo instance authenticate as the user's Gmail account without ever storing the user's Google password. We store only the access and refresh tokens issued by Google, inside our own private, access-controlled Odoo database — never shared, sold, or used for advertising.
